It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in the Queen City, perfect to check out two festivals happening simultaneously. First was the Allentown Art Museum’s Summer Folk Art Festival. Chris Potash, head of PR at the museum graciously showed us around. There were many activities for both young and old and it was great to see everyone enjoying all the festivities. The folk art display runs until October 11th. You should definitely check out this German American work all from the Barbara L Gordon Collection.
Next stop was the Allentown Pride in the Park Festival, celebrating the LGBT community. Cedar Beach Park was the perfect spot for a colorful display of pride, balloons, people, food, and fun. On the way out I was greeted by the Queen of the Festival, Trixie Deflair.
