The Krewe de Brewe Mardi Gras parade, part of the Lehigh Valley Beer Week activities, is getting bigger each year. Two Rivers, Black and Blue, along with Porter’s Pub, team up to make this rollicking festivity happen along what is known as the Beermuda Triangle in Easton’s West Ward neighborhood. “This way to Egress” provided much of the musical talent along the parade route, along with some other colorful characters. Early spring weather made it easy for spectators to hang outside and watch the merriment as well as collect some beads along the way.
The Celebration of L. Anderson (Andy) Daub Day took place recently in Easton at the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society’s Annual Meeting. Andy has been a driving force in all things good about our city and was the primary fundraiser for the Sigal Museum where he also donated the 1758 Easton Peace Treaty which changed the course of our history.
