This is always a busy time on the social calendar, full of art events, charity benefits, music, and festivals here in the Lehigh Valley. This year was my first time attending Glass Blast at the Artsquest Center in Bethlehem, and it lived up to it’s name. Guests enjoyed picking out a glass goblet to start the evening and were able to compete in the longest drip contest happening right next to a cigar bar. It was a great night and I hope I get invited back next year.
At the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children, they held an inaugural sock hop, a reunion for those who attended the original dances hosted when it was the YMCA. Easton’s Mayor Panto and Brad Scott Smith DJ-ed, Two Rivers Brewing Company provided beer, and the Carmelcorn Shop was there to provide treats along with Jimmy’s Hot Dogs. The crowd danced the night away in the gym. The building is available for party rentals at really great rates, and is a hidden gem in Easton.
